Saisarvesh S (Sethu Bhaskara) of Under-15 Boy and Tejaswini G (Velammal) of Under-15 Girl emerged winner at the end of final round in the 44th FIDE Chess Olympiad Celebration - Tiruvallur District Schools Chess Selection Tournament 2022 organized by Tiruvallur District Chess Association at Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Gummidipoondi held on 15th & 16th June 2022.

The Chief Guests Mrs. Sonali Sudhir Lodha (Vice President, MVM), Mr. D. Narasimha Rao (District Inspector of Physical Education, Tiruvallur), Mrs. Sasikala Vijayakumar (Advisor, MVM) and Mr. S. Balaraman (Jt. Secretary, TNSCA & Hon. Secretary, TVLR DCA) distributed the prizes to the winning children.

Final Standings

U-15 Boys: Saisarvesh S (8/9); Arnav Maheshwari (7.5); Sooriya B Y (7.5).

U-15 Girls: Tejaswini G (9/9); Lakshanaa R (8); Dhanyashree H (7).

The winner of both boys and girl’s categories got the lifetime chance to visit the 44th FIDE Chess Olympiad at Mahabalipuram, Chennai to be held from 28th July to 10th August 2022.
