K. Gunasekaran of Indian Railways and former Tiruvallur District Champion and Two terms State Champion for Tamil Nadu State stole the limelight by winning regular and Tie break games and R Subbu Lakshmi clinch the first place in the women section scoring 4 points out of four rounds organized by District Sports Development Authority of Tiruvallur on behalf of SDAT on 7th Feb.2023 at Sports Complex, Tiruvallur. The championship had attracted a total of 31 Men and 9 Women from various Government office of Tiruvallur District.
Earlier Mr.G. Premkumar, District Sports officer , Tiruvallur, he himself a chess player inaugurated the tournament by making first move of the Championships.

I thank District Collector and District Sports officer, for giving me the wonderful opportunity to work as a Chief Arbiter in this Tamil Nadu Chief Ministers Trophy for Chess 2022-23.
